Most moon phase writing is about couples. Read on its own, a birth phase is closer to a description of working rhythm: where in a cycle of effort you are most useful, and where you tend to stall. What happens if I was born on 29 February?
A leap-day birth date works exactly like any other. The lookup converts the date to a Julian Day, which counts 29 February directly, so 29 February 2000 returns a Waning Crescent at 28.6% illumination. Nothing is rounded to 28 February or 1 March. Leap days are the one case where counting whole years by hand goes wrong, so the calculator is the safer route.
What if I don't know my exact birthday?
An approximate date still tells you something useful. Knowing the month and year narrows you to one of two possible phases, and knowing the week narrows it to one. If you are working from an adoption record or a family recollection, treat the result as indicative rather than settled.
Is my moon phase the same as my zodiac moon sign?
